Archive is the long-term storage of data or images. Archiving is generally accomplished on some form of magnetic media; such as disk or tape, or optical media; such as Writable CD. Bates Numbering or Bates Stamping is used in the legal, medical, and business fields to sequentially number or date/time-mark images or documents as they are scanned or processed. Bates numbering is an organizational method mainly used to identify legal documents.
